Amazon Games Announces return of New World: Aeternum’s Siege of Sulfur Event

Today, Amazon Games announced the return of the Siege of Sulfur event to New World: Aeternum, taking place from February 4 through February 24.

In the event, players will have the opportunity to defend precious Sandwurm eggs from waves of Sulfur Elementals in a thrilling challenge where teamwork and strategy are crucial.

Dunewalker Mage carts broke down while transporting sandwurm eggs, and although the Mages have created protective shields around the eggs, they can only hold out for so long. Brave adventurers can form a party with 10+ players (recommended player level is 60+) and head to locations across Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Edengrove, Mourningdale and Brimstone Sands to help protect the precious cargo.

During the limited-time event, players can earn a variety of rewards including skins, a Sandwurm Egg Housing Item, Obsidian Gypsum and gear scaled to 700 and 710 Gear Score. There’s no limit to how many daily standard rewards brave players can earn, and the more eggs defended, the greater the spoils!

Standard Rewards

Face increasingly difficult waves of Sulfur Elementals, including the Remnant of the Unmaker, while the Mage recovers. Clear out every enemy to earn rewards based on your results. There is no daily limit for standard rewards, unless otherwise noted.

Defend one egg

Successfully defend one egg to receive the following rewards:

• One GS700 procedural weapon or armor piece
• Some level-appropriate consumables
• A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
• A 50% chance to earn 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

Defend two eggs

Save two eggs to net the following rewards:

• 1-2 GS700 procedural weapons or armor pieces
• Some level-appropriate consumables
• A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
• a 80% chance to earn 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

Defend three eggs

Complete a perfect run for even better spoils:

• Two GS700 procedural weapons or armor pieces
• Some level-appropriate consumables
• A chance at some random loot, including refining resources, perk items, rare resources, or crafting schematics
• Guaranteed 1 Obsidian Gypsum (standard 3x loot limit)

Bonus Rewards

Bonus rewards can be earned up to three times daily. This limit will reset at 5 a.m. local time. For example, if you collect your third set of bonus rewards at 4:58 a.m., you’ll be able to get more at 5:01 a.m.
