Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire Story Dev Diary

Today ArenaNet released the third and final video in its Dev Diary series for the upcoming Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire expansion.

The video takes a look at the story behind Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire and how the dev team approached building the expansion’s narrative in an area that players haven’t visited in 250 years. Players will head back to Elona and the Crystal Desert to grapple with the threat presented by Balthazar, the human god with fire and war, as discover what has occurred in the region in their absence. With the Elder Dragons still an ever-present threat, and a swath of destruction following the rogue human god south into the desert, Path of Fire represents a chance for players to face new challenges – and perhaps uncover the answers to questions from the past.
