BTHA reveals ‘Ask the Media’ video for Toy Fair 2019
Features Q&A with a leading newspaper, broadcaster and blogger
(London, UK) 17 October, 2018 - The British Toy and Hobby Association today revealed the official ‘Ask the Media’ video for Toy Fair 2019. The video, produced annually by the BTHA, provides information and advice on all the PR opportunities offered to exhibitors at Toy Fair. ‘Ask the Media’ also features the infamous Q&A interviews, where media from the UK’s leading newspapers, broadcasters and blogs reveal their top tips and expectations for Toy Fair 2019.
This year, the video features interviews with Zoe Kleinman, broadcast journalist and presenter at BBC News, Kate Carter, freelance consumer journalist, and Helen Neale, owner of KiddyCharts, one of the UK’s most influential parenting blogs. Kleinman has reported on technology and business across the BBC for 10 years, while Carter was previously Life & Style Editor at The Guardian. As well as managing KiddyCharts, Neale is a digital marketer for Channel Mum.
In the interviews, these media reveal how and when exhibitors should pitch them for Toy Fair, as well as what makes a toy stand out at the show. The video also includes advice for how to support content creators as well as traditional press on the show floor.
Rebecca Deeming, Public Relations Manager at the BTHA, presents this year’s ‘Ask the Media’ video. As well as introducing the interviews, Rebecca covers the key deadlines and opportunities coming up imminently for Toy Fair exhibitors.
