DEATH NOTE Killer Within introduces two new roles in its new DLC
DEATH NOTE Killer Within welcomes two new roles with X Kira and N, each working for one of the two opposing teams and adding even more depth to the game. Team Kira works to create a New World at all costs while Team L investigates to arrest Kira for his wrongdoings.
In the anime, X’s Kira is a key character chosen by Light Yagami to act as his proxy when the original Kira (Light) needs to avoid suspicion. His role will be equally crucial in the game. He is a follower of Kira who can activate the “Fake Surveillance Task” command card. X’s Kira will then have to select a player to be surveilled by two others, and, if the surveillance is not interrupted, the New World Progress Level will increase tremendously. It will give an edge to Kira’s team, as players from L’s team will have to be even more careful and alert than before.
The second role is N, one of L’s successors who takes on the role of tracking down Kira in the anime. In the game, N will dispose of several abilities including “SPK Tracker”, which allows him to record all locations visited by a player and reveal it to everyone in the next meeting. Additionally, the Monay Chaos command card will prevent Kira’s team from stealing ID by obscuring vision in the area.
The new DLC introduces a new game mode as well: the 3D mode, offering new places to hide and new strategies to implement.
Finally, new downloadable content is available such as a set containing the premium avatar of L wearing a Swimsuit. With the Premium Customization Track Vol. 6, players can get a variety of customization parts and rewards as they gain levels, such a Hoodie for Misa Amane, a Tennis outfit for Light Yagami, 19 accessories, 2 name plates and 10 Cut ins.
