Good news, everyone! Meet Billy West at MCM Comic Con x EGX this October
Thursday 4 July, London: ReedPop have revealed the next guest that will be attending MCM Comic Con x EGX at ExCeL London across all three days of the convention in October.
Billy West is an American voice actor known for voicing many iconic characters from projects like Futurama, Space Jam, Ren & Stimpy and Scooby-Doo as well as being a regular cast member on The Howard Stern Show. Billy will be available for fans to purchase autographs and photo opportunities throughout the length of the show.
Some of Billy's best known roles include...
- Philip J. Fry – Born in the 20th century, “Futurama’s” Fry was cryogenically frozen for 1000 years and woke up in the year 2999. Billy has been bringing Fry to life since the show began in 1999, reprising his role in the recent Hulu reboot of the show. In addition to Fry, Billy also plays Professor Farnsworth, Zapp Brannigan, and Dr. Zoidberg, among others.
- Stimpson J. "Stimpy" Cat – Created by John Kricfalusi, Billy lends his voice to one half of the titular characters in Nickelodeon’s “Ren & Stimpy”. Debuting in 1991, Billy was featured in 54 episodes of the series, and is reprising his role in the Comedy Central reboot. Billy also voiced Ren Höek from 1993 onwards.
- Bugs Bunny – West portrayed Bug Bunny and Elmer Fudd in the 1996 film “Space Jam”, reprising his role in select future Looney Tunes films, video games and other media.
- Shaggy Rogers – One half of the iconic Scooby-Doo duo, West was the second person to play Shaggy (after Casey Kasem) in the 1998 film “Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island”.
MCM Comic Con x EGX will take place from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October at ExCeL London, and will be the first time both events are under one roof. Attendees can expect many more guest announcements in the coming months.
