NEW RELEASES AND NEW TOURNAMENTS ARRIVE IN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

As the season gets colder, competition is heating up in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) is proud to present three hot releases in December and January, from new beginnings to new twists on some of the game’s greatest stories. With the return of Collector’s Rares, Speed Dueling, colourful Ultra Rares and collectible dice, the Winter season is set to deliver more of what Duelists love. Plus, as a holiday surprise, Duelists will have more opportunities to Duel from home and win amazing prizes!

The Speed Duel: Battle City Box is designed to let 8 Duelists battle it out however they see fit. The Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes 200 cards so Duelists can build popular strategies and harness the power of iconic cards that are new to Speed Dueling. The mighty Egyptian God Cards Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra descend on the Duels, while Jinzo, Dark Paladin and XYZ-Dragon Cannon fire back - and that’s just the beginning.

Build the strategies of Battle City just like Yugi, Kaiba, Espa Roba, Ishizu Ishtar, Arkana and many more. Or, draft the cards between friends for different play modes! Each Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes 20 Skill Cards, 16 of which are brand new. Plus, since the original Battle City tournament had high stakes, this version of the story holds a unique surprise as well. Each Speed Duel: Battle City Box includes a special prize pack with 8 Secret Rares from a pool of 24 cards. A mix of fan-favourites and Dueling icons get the Secret Rare treatment: Duelists can gift one to each competitor, let the winner take all, or keep them for themselves! Genesis Impact marks the arrival of three brand-new strategies, starting with the secret history of some of Dueling’s most storied Spellcasters like Invoked, Witchcrafter, Endymion and more! Armed with Fusion, Xyz, Synchro and Link Summons, this new concordance of the four Spellcasters combines various Summoning Techniques for a magical supremacy!

Genesis Impact also introduces a new strategy that takes an entirely different approach to Ritual Summons; instead of matching Levels, players can gather Machine-type Tributes with ATK equal or greater than the ATK of the Ritual Monster you want to Summon. Plus, this new tribe comes prepared with an even greater power: they can Ritual Summon monsters from the player’s own Graveyard. With the new Ritual supports, Genesis Impact will allow Duelists to Summon new Ritual Monsters with some of the highest ATK and DEF in Ritual Summoning history!

Finally, Duelists can get ready to go Live with Dueling’s new dynamic duo with a stunning secret! By day they’re popular live-streamers with legions of fans, but by night they [We've restricted access to this section. Please enter the Secret Password.]! As Main Deck monsters, each twin Special Summons the other and together they work the algorithm to swing Life Points. However, upgraded to their Link Monster counterparts, their true teamwork will be unleashed and cause calamity for their opponent!

Genesis Impact

Genesis Impact arrives on December 3rd, with 10 Ultra Rares, 15 Super Rares and 35 Rares for a total of 60 cards, with 15 cards also available as Collector’s Rares. Each pack contains 7 cards: 1 Foil card and 6 Rares. RRP: £3.99 / €3.99 per pack.

From there it’s time to reopen the vault: Legendary Duelists are back again! Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss and Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose celebrated Duelists like Seto Kaiba, Mai Valentine, Alexis Rhodes and Akiza Izinski, breathing new life into strategies like Rose Dragons, Harpies, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Legendary Duelists: Season 2 will be Duelist’s first chance for a second shot at hard-to-find cards like Kaiba’s Bingo Machine, Go!!!, Zane’s Cyberload Fusion, Mai’s Harpie Perfumer and Anna Kaboom’s Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe. With 10 more cards than Legendary Duelists: Season 1, this sequel follow-up is bigger and better than the original.

Each box of Legendary Duelists: Season 2 comes with 1 of 10 Secret Rares, including 2 new cards never available before: 1 card for Kite’s “Galaxy-Eyes” strategy, and 1 card for Kaiba’s “Blue-Eyes” Deck. Every box will also have 2 Legendary Duelists: Season 2 packs, each with 18 cards: 15 Commons and 3 Ultra Rares. While Legendary Duelists: Season 1 introduced colourful Ultra Rares - appearing in blue, green or purple foil lettering – every Ultra Rare in Season 2 can appear in those 3 colours as well as the standard gold! That means more chances for players to find the Ultra Rare they want, and more opportunities to customize Decks with their favourite colours.

Legendary Duelists: Season 2

Legendary Duelists: Season 2 is available January 21st. Each box comes with 1 of several collectible dice, 30 Commons, 2 standard Ultra Rares, 4 colourful Ultra Rares and 1 Secret Rare. The complete Legendary Duelists: Season 2 set contains 131 cards: 91 Commons; 30 Ultra Rares available in standard, blue, green or purple; and 10 Secret Rares. RRP: £14.99 / €14.99 per set.

Finally - Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is just around the corner! On December 5th and 6th, Duelists will have the opportunity to Remote Duel their way to greatness, earning exclusive prizes. Earlier this year, fans everywhere voted on what Link Monster they wanted to see on a future promotional item, and the exclusive Game Mat for this Yu-Gi-Oh! Day will feature the winner: Crystron Halqifibrax! Duelists will have to prove their mettle to find themselves on the path to qualify for the next Remote Duel Invitational. Then, on December 19th and 20th, and January 23rd and 24th, KONAMI will host two Remote Duel Extravaganzas! These incredible events will offer numerous tournaments in different formats.
