ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 REACHES 4 MILLION UNITS SOLD
Players can now pick some of the next characters to be added to the game
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe today announced that ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 has reached 4 million units sold worldwide since its launch. In addition, the game will continue to receive updates as new DLCs will be released in the future, including one where fans can pick their favourite to play in the game. ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will also come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and owners of PlayStation 4 or Xbox One editions are eligible for a free upgrade.
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4, the action game developed by KOEI TECMO Games, lets players relieve the story of the Straw Hat Crew and other key ONE PIECE characters, fighting their way through hundreds of enemies using devastating attacks in a very satisfying style.
New content will also be on its way, among which fans will be able to have a say. A Character Poll to decide the characters in the upcoming DLC is starting now until 28th February, where fans can select up to three favourite characters from a list of 23. A Bandai Namco ID is needed to participate. Based on the results, characters will be making their way into the game as an upcoming paid DLC. More on the upcoming DLC packs will be revealed at a later date.
Produced by Toei Animation and based on the top-selling manga title of all time by creator Eiichiro Oda, the One Piece series first premiered on Japanese TV in October 1999 and follows Monkey. D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew on their epic quest to find “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of the former King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger. Today, One Piece is now a global franchise that encompasses 15 feature films, home videos, video games, and an ever-growing catalogue of licensed merchandise that includes accessories, toys, games, novelties, furniture, housewares, apparel and more.
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC and will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, letting players experience the frantic action gameplay in a new way.
