Rebellion Founders Jason and Chris Kingsley Announced as First Develop:Brighton 2019 Keynote
Last chance to purchase Super Early Bird conference passes
Wednesday, 3 April: Tandem Events, organisers of Develop:Brighton has announced that Rebellion Developments co-founders Jason Kingsley OBE and Chris Kingsley OBE as the first keynote speakers for the conference taking place 9 – 11 July at the Brighton Hilton Metropole.
In a fireside chat, the brothers will discuss Rebellion’s 26 year history as an independent studio, the creation of standout games including Sniper Elite 4 and Strange Brigade, as well as its ownership of comic brand 2000 AD and the recent opening of a $100 million film and television studio.
Titled ‘Rebellion: The Path to Independence’ the keynote will take place on the final day of the conference on Thursday, 11 July.
“My brother and I are really looking forward to joining the community in Brighton,” said Chris Kingsley OBE. “We’re thrilled to have the chance to talk about Rebellion’s history and our exciting plans for the future.”
Jason Kingsley OBE added: “It’s a fantastic story how Rebellion became one of Europe’s largest independent studios and how we’ve reached a place where we’re not just making games, but comics, books, TV shows and even movies, all while staying independent.”

Conference passes are available at a Super Early Bird rate offering up to £330 off a three-day pass until midnight on Wednesday, 3 April, after which passes will be available at our Early Bird rate for a limited time.
Tandem Events recently announced the first round of speakers hosting talks at the conference, including representatives from BioWare, Microsoft, Riot Games and Eidos Montreal.
Additional speakers, including further keynotes, will be announced in due course. Exact dates and times for each session will be announced in spring.

Develop:Brighton is a three-day conference and expo running from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 July 2019 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole. On Wednesday 10 July, at the same venue, the industry will gather to celebrate its best and brightest at The Develop:Star Awards.
