The Unknown 9 Universe Expands with New Releases Today
Following the launch of Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe and Reflector Entertainment’s video game, Unknown 9: Awakening, the Unknown 9 universe has just released Season 2 of the Out of Sight podcast and new issues of the Torment comic book series.
Unknown 9: Out of Sight is a scripted podcast that follows Blake and Lazari – paranormal investigators who travel the United States recording everyday people’s brushes with the unexplainable. The second season, premiering today, catches up with the duo as newly inducted members of the Leap Year Society. On the hunt for a mysterious artifact, their investigation leads them straight into the hands of infamous LYS’s rivals, The Ascendants. Will they make it out alive? Written by Jessica Kincaid and produced by West End Media, Out of Sight Season 2 was recorded across three countries and five time zones and used binaural audio technology to create an eerily immersive experience.
This week also marks the release of Unknown 9: Torment Issue #4. Written by Brandon Thomas and illustrated by Francis Portela, the series chronicles the life of Jaden Crowe, a troubled young man strangely aware of another side of reality, who becomes the focus of a powerful organisation that may hold the key to the universe haunting him. While the first three issues see Jaden and his friend plunged into the dangerous world of the Leap Year Society, newly released Issue #4 has them taking shelter from familiar antagonist Vincent Lichter’s attacks inside the LYS’ Paris HQ.
The Unknown 9 universe follows the destinies of dozens of characters as they navigate a world full of interconnected mysteries. Unfolding across comics, podcasts, novels, and web series, these tales, which can be enjoyed in any order or as standalone experiences, weave together through space and time to offer something for everyone.
