Universe K-Pop Fandom App Rolls out Huge Update, Second Uni-Kon K-Pop Concert

Newport Beach, Calif. – June 16, 2022 – The Universe fandom app from NCSOFT—a global game developer and publisher—received a significant upgrade today, enhanced for user convenience, personalized designs, and upgraded performance. NCSOFT will also host the second Uni-Kon concert on July 2-3, a K-Pop festival featuring artists from the Universe platform. Uni-Kon will be performed live in Seoul.

Universe is available for iOS and Android in 233 countries around the world. The app has more than 21 million downloads, with nearly 90% of those downloads coming from outside of South Korea. Visit the official Universe website for more information and to download the app.

Since its launch in January 2021, Universe has taken user feedback into account to improve UI and UX, as well as advance main features. The new version has also reduced the overall size of the app to improve its speed. The most significant changes are to the main page, with four categories – Home, Discover, Message, and My – allowing more intuitive and convenient access to each feature. Fans can now easily check out the latest artist news and events, chat with their favorite artists and other fans, and view activity history in a more intuitive setup.

In celebration of the update, NCSOFT is offering one-month free trial of Universe Membership. There will also be newly edited versions of popular Universe Originals, including music, photoshoots, radio, and entertainment series. Those who participate in quizzes and post reviews can receive Uni-Kon tickets or AirPods as gifts.

The second Uni-Kon K-pop festival will take place in Seoul on July 2-3. Last year, Uni-Kon amassed 2.6 million fans from 164 countries.
