YU-GI-OH! TRADING CARD GAME SET CROSSOVER BREAKERS INTRODUCES THREE BRAND-NEW THEMES
WINDSOR, UK – December 5, 2024 – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. (KONAMI) releases Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) set Crossover Breakers today in Europe and Oceania. This innovative 60-card booster set redefines what Duelists can expect from the trading card game with three brand-new Deck themes – “Ryzeal”, “Maliss”, and “Ryu-Ge”.
Duelist’s Xyz Decks receive a jolt of electricity with the super-storm power of Ryzeals. This Thunder/Pyro theme uses overcharged Level and Rank 4 Xyz Monsters to build an electrical loop – monsters overlay into Xyz Monsters, then detach materials to add cards to a Duelist’s hand or destroy an opponent’s cards, then can recharge by attaching monsters from the Graveyard. Many Ryzeal effects are open-ended and can work with almost any Rank 4 Xyz Monster, so Duelists can Summon and recharge their favourite Rank 4’s from throughout history, alongside the brightest cards from today.
The Maliss theme delves Duelists into a madcap Cyber World by heading down the digital rabbit hole to the wonderful underland where everything is pretty weird. Duelists will need to hire guides to hack their way through, including several Maliss <P> and <Q> monsters (Pawns & Queens), plus the Maliss <C> (code) Trap Cards. These Traps can be used the same turn they’re Set with special benefits from the new boss Link Monster’s effect granted Duelists keep its Link Arrows pointing to another monster.
Finally, the Ryu-Ge theme is born from the prophecy that says this world was created by an ancient Dragon who now seeks a successor, which has led Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, and Wyrm monsters to compete in a no-mercy battle to the end. The victor will ascend into a new Dragon that will create and rule the next world. Duelists can combine all three together by building a Ryu-GeDeck to connect realms and seek out the victorious Dragon in their Deck. Alternatively, these cards can be added to a Duelist’s existing Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm Deck to boost their champion caliber!
Crossover Breakers contains 10 Ultra Rares, 10 Super Rares, and 40 standard Rares. In a new twist, half the standard Rares can also be pulled as Super Rares in the same set. In addition, 15 cards can be found as Collector’s Rares, and several as Quarter Century Secret Rares.
