EVERCORE Heroes Closed Beta Begins 20 June, First-Look Gameplay Trailer & Walkthrough Debut

From Veterans Behind the Industry’s Biggest Online Games – League of Legends, Fortnite and more – Comes a New Competitive PvE Multiplayer Experience

Tuesday 9 May - Dublin: Vela Games, today announced the Closed Beta for their debut title EVERCORE Heroes - a unique multi-genre competitive PVE game - will begin on Tuesday 20 June.

Players wishing to be among the very first to play the game on PC can secure their place in the closed beta by purchasing the EVERCORE Heroes Founder’s Pack, which includes additional keys to share with friends, exclusive content, a battle pass that never expires, and more.

Founder’s packs are available exclusively at evercoreheroes.com. Players who pre-order will receive the ultra-rare Vela Beko skin to show off in game.

Player progress during the closed beta, including any purchases made and in-game items earned, will carry over to the final free-to-play game at launch.

Each EVERCORE Heroes match is a pulsating competitive PVE session between four teams of four mighty heroes, all aiming to defend the beautiful but dangerous world of Lumerea by protecting the Evercore and ultimately proving they are the world’s best team of heroes.

To win, players must power up their heroes, charge their Evercore, survive onslaughts of dangerous beasts, and triumph in the final head-to-head challenge. Players will have to work together to outplay other teams in critical moments during the match. Ultimately, the best teams will find the right composition and strategy, balancing tradeoffs between building their own power and making the battle more difficult for their rival teams.

The closed beta will include three unique stages, each with its own set of items, enemies, and a unique head to head encounter. In addition the closed beta will feature sixteen heroes, including eight new additions to the roster, expanding the unique world and gameplay.

They include heroes such as Grayce, a deadly dancer who moves with beauty and precision; Skye, a young but fearless weather mage from the high tech region of Bios; and Sydian, a corrupted Faede who channels chaotic Luum through his own body. Kaine, Maxx, Oria, Riiva, and Syrus also join the roster.

Based in Dublin, Ireland, Vela Games is a 60-strong team composed of industry veterans from studios including Riot Games, Electronic Arts, Epic Games and Blizzard Entertainment.

The studio was founded in 2018 by Lisa Newon George, PhD Anthropologist and formerly in Player Insights at Riot Games, Brian Kaiser, game and narrative design veteran of AAA studios for over 20 years, and Travis George, who was Lead Producer on League of Legends at Riot Games during his nine years at the company.
