“The Football Festival” has arrived on eFootball™ 2023
A new tournament campaign featuring 40 National Teams plus a series of limited-edition events land on eFootball™
17th November 2022 – Windsor – Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. can today announce that eFootball™ 2023 has entered “Season 2” and will hold a series of events and campaigns themed around “The Football Festival”, some of which have begun today.
This will include the addition of 40 National Teams can now be selected for a limited time on offline mode “Trial Match”, and in the online mode “Dream Team”, the “national Team Packs” for Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and France are all now available.
There will also be the inclusion of “The International Cup Experience”, an AI tournament Event in which users can play as 1 of 46 available national teams, and the continuation of the “eFootball™ International Cup”, nation-based challenge event with a total prize pool of 1 billion eFootball™ coins.

“Trial Match” includes 40 new teams
eFootball™ 2023 offline mode “Trial Match” will expand for a limited time to allow fans to play as 40 national teams, the full list of which can be found here: https://www.konami.com/efootba...
On console, users can also enjoy playing 2v2 offline, so now they can make the most of the international rivalries with their friends on eFootball™.
This will last from between Wednesday, 16th November and mid-February 2023.
“The International Cup Experience” is underway
To celebrate the unusual but exciting global football calendar of 2022, “The International Cup Experience” comes to eFootball™ 2023. This will allow players from 46 countries to compete against the AI and compete in groups stages and consequential knock-out rounds to reach the summit of the world football.
This will last from between Thursday, 17th November and Thursday, 12thJanuary 2023.
This comes alongside the already underway “eFootball™ International Cup” where users can be part of winning a split of over 1 billion eFootball™ coins!
The “eFootball™ International Cup” has been running since Thursday, 20thOctober and will conclude on Saturday, 17th December.
New National Team Packs
To help users of all abilities kick off their eFootball™ journeys, a further four National Team Packs have been made available. These packs will include 11 players from each country allowing novice users to have a strong baseline starting XI, or even the most expertise of eFootball™ of users to further enhance their “Dream Teams”.
The National Team Packs released include:
- National Team Pack: France ‘22 [Premium]
- National Team Pack: Argentina ‘22 [Premium]
- National Team Pack: Brazil ‘22 [Premium]
- National Team Pack: Japan ‘22 [Premium]
Each National Team Pack will also include one player who will appear as a “Big Time” card – the new theme to Epic.
What is “Big Time”?
“Big Time” represents the new theme of “Epic” eFootball™ player cards. These players can be past or present and celebrate some of the individuals’ finest moments out on the pitch with a special card design. All to allow users to potentially recreate these moments (or do better) in-game on eFootball™ 2023.
