Toy Fair 2019 Sold Out

Industry showcase sells out its floor space three months in advance, as organisers announce brand new Content Creation Zone

(London, UK) 25 October 2018 - The British Toy and Hobby Association today announced that exhibition space at Toy Fair 2019 is now completely sold out. The exhibition, which takes place at Olympia London, has sold out of all floor space with three months to the doors opening on 22 January.

“I’m thrilled to announce Toy Fair has sold out yet again, demonstrating the continued importance of the show to the UK toy industry,” commented Majen Immink, Director of Fairs and Special Events. “I’d like to thank the UK toy industry for their continued support and I’m looking forward to seeing all the new launches in January.”

Toy Fair 2019 is firmly on track to repeat the success of the 2018 show, with more than 250 exhibiting companies preparing to showcase their new toy lines. Floor-plans of next year’s show can be found on the Toy Fair website.

38 exhibiting companies will be attending Toy Fair for the very first time, and 11 exhibiting companies are returning after time away from the show, including Wow! Stuff, Flying Gadgets, and LEGO. Many exhibiting companies return annually, such as Gibsons and Cartamundi.

“Toy Fair gives us a great opportunity to showcase the range in the best way possible in a fantastic, exciting environment full of the industries key players,” said Hayley McAuley, UK Sales and Marketing Manager at Cartamundi. “It’s THE event of the year in the UK and everyone there is on a high, looking forward to the year to come.”

On the same day, the BTHA also announced a brand-new Content Creation Zone, which will be made available to vloggers and influencers at the show. This new, dedicated media area will give content creators the chance to get hands-on with some of the sought-after toys from Toy Fair, as well as provide the tools to blog live from the show floor.

“To support the growing number of bloggers and YouTubers that attend Toy Fair each year, the BTHA has made the decision to create a brand-new Content Creation Zone,” said Rebecca Deeming, Public Relations Manager. “With the ever-changing media landscape, these influencers are an increasingly important avenue for reaching parents and children alike. As with our traditional press, influencers have their own requirements for reporting from the show, and it’s our job to make the process for them as easy as possible.”

Registration is now open for Toy Fair 2019 at www.toyfair.co.uk. To make reapplying easy, attendees from any of the past three Toy Fairs will receive a Smart Link to their existing profile, so need only check, update and submit their details to receive their 2019 show ticket. Visitors who choose not to pre-register or confirm their Smart Link will be required to prove they are a genuine trade visitor and pay a £15 entry fee on the door.
