Toy Fair Launches ‘Ask the Media’ Video
Video provides information and tips to Toy Fair exhibitors as well as advice from national and broadcast journalists
22 November: Today, Toy Fair launched its annual Ask the Media video for Toy Fair exhibitors. Presented by Rebecca Deeming, communications and public affairs officer at the BTHA, the video provides key information on the PR process for Toy Fair as well as interviews with journalists.
Journalists interviewed for this year’s video are Harry Wallop and Cassandra O’Donnell. Harry Wallop is a well renowned national newspaper journalist who has written for the likes of the Daily Telegraph, the Times and the Guardian as well as hosting documentaries on Channel 4. Cassandra O’Donnell has worked in television for ten years on programmes such as This Morning, Loose Women and the Jonathan Ross show.
The interviews detail the process for pitching a story, the mistakes PRs make and what types of stories from Toy Fair would pique their interest.
The full video can be found on the Toy Fair YouTube channel or through this link: https://youtu.be/ig0dHjln0og
Deeming commented, “We have created this video to provide an easy and interesting reference point for our exhibitors on the PR opportunities available to them at Toy Fair. I’d like to thank Harry and Cassandra for taking time to speak to us for this video and hope everyone finds their insights useful. We hope it inspires exhibitors to start preparing their exciting toy stories for Toy Fair.”
Toy Fair is the UK’s only toy, game and hobby exhibition taking place at London’s Olympia from 24 to 26 January 2017.
