What We Do in The Shadows Star Jonny Brugh to Appear at MCM Comic Con

Tuesday, 15th April 2025: ReedPop is pleased to announce that What We Do in the Shadows star Jonny Brugh will appear at MCM Comic Con at Excel London on Saturday 24th May and Sunday 25th May 2025.

Jonny is best known for his role as Deacon Brücke, the suave and cocky 183-year-old German Vampire currently residing in Wellington, New Zealand in the 2014 cult classic mockumentary film, What We Do in the Shadows. The film went on to spawn a successful television spin off series, in which Jonny’s character had a cameo as a member of the Vampiric Council.

After working with Taika Waititi on What We Do in the Shadows, Jonny has since reunited with the director for an appearance as the god Rapu in Taika’s 2022 film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Most recently, he was cast as Lloyd Kneath, the eccentric head of IT, in the Australian reboot of The Office.

Jonny will be taking part in photo and autograph opportunities on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May, purchasable by ticket holders. He will also take to the Live Stage at 2:15pm on Sunday in a dedicated spotlight panel, breaking down the most iconic roles of his career. Panel reservations will open on April 23rd, with more details available on the MCM Comic Con Instagram page HERE.

The news follows other recent guest announcements including Doctor Who star David Tennant, Hollywood legend Patton Oswalt, Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz, PlayStation’s Miles Morales Nadji Jeter, and more.

The convention will return to Excel London from Friday 23 May to Sunday 25 May, after welcoming hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans across three shows throughout 2024.

Keep an eye on the official MCM Comic Con pages for the latest announcements as ReedPop reveals more exciting guests, panels and activities in the lead up to MCM Comic Con May.
